Everyone wants their bathroom to be high end and luxurious. Whether it be getting ready in the morning or a soothing evening bath, people spend a lot of time in the bathroom. So, it’s only fair that people take care of their bathrooms like any other room of the house.
Bathroom renovations can be really expensive, so you might be a bit skeptical when it comes to giving your bathroom a makeover. You don’t have to renovate your whole bathroom and install fancy equipment in order to make your bathroom luxurious. There are plenty of subtle things that you can do without wreaking havoc on your bank.
Just by making a few small upgrades and tweaking a few things here and there, you can make your bathroom look classy and elegant. Mentioned below are a few tips and tricks that will help you make your bathroom look lavish.
1. Get New Bath Towels
If you’ve been using the same bath towels for a long time, you need to spend some money and get new ones. I recommend quick-dry towels. They are the absolute best, in my opinion; they are made up of 100% cotton, very dry and absorbent. They can dry 30% faster than other towels.
The best thing about quick-dry towels is that they can be bleached, they never fade nor will they ever go out of style. They are bound to add a luxurious look to any bathroom, no matter what the color. A trick to make your towels look more stylish is to roll them instead of folding them, it’s very easy, and once you get the hang of it, you can do it really quickly.
2. Remove the Clutter
Before trying to add anything new to your bathroom, you need to make sure that your bathroom is not cluttered. You don’t want your bathroom to look untidy and unkempt; therefore, get rid of everything that you think is not necessary.
When trying to make their bathrooms look extravagant, people often overdo it and end up cluttering their bathrooms with unnecessary things, like too many scented candles, different types of soap bars and decoration pieces. Whereas, just one or two scented candles could suffice and rather than cluttering your bathroom with soap bars, adding a liquid hand wash can save you a lot of space and it’s also more hygienic.
I’ve even seen people keep empty bottles of soap and shampoo just because they don’t want to go through the trouble of throwing them away. In order to have a luxurious vibe, you need to remove all the unnecessary things from your bathroom.
3. Light up the Mirror Area
The last thing you want to do is mess up your makeup or leave a large area of stubble unshaven in the morning because of poor lighting. To get a good look at your face in the morning, install some mirror lights. You can either add some white led strip lights near the mirror you already have, or you can buy a new LED light mirror.
I am the biggest fan of the latter; it just adds an extra touch of class to the overall look of my bathroom. These mirrors come in all sizes and shapes, and they are quite inexpensive. The mirror frame starts glowing when you turn it on, which would not only make your bathroom look more lavish, you also won’t ever have to worry about messing up makeup in the morning.
4. Invest in Some Indoor Plants
If you’re looking to add more color to your bathroom, adding a few indoor plants can make a huge difference. Rather than buying fancy artwork and decoration pieces, you should invest in indoor plants. Not only is it aesthetically pleasing, but it also has a lot of benefits. Many indoor plants have therapeutic effects. Moreover, if you get plants for your bathroom, you don’t have to worry about unpleasant odor, because plants have a tendency to absorb foul odors.
5. Update the Bathroom Accessories
Before you start getting new accessories for your bathroom, you need to make sure that the things you already have are in order and up to date. Spend your money in updating the things that you already have. You don’t want to have old fashioned and used accessories in your glamorous and luxurious bathroom. If your bathroom is not lit correctly, nothing else would matter; it would look dull and boring. To show all the hard work you’ve put in to make your bathroom luxurious and lavish, you need to make sure that your bathroom is perfectly lit. It doesn’t mean that you need to spend tons of money on expensive chandeliers, although that would look amazing, a few smartly placed light bulbs can light the whole room all the same.
Get some LED roof bulbs! These are different from ordinary light bulbs because they are fixed in the ceiling, which means they don’t stick out as much and also, they will surely make all the colors in your bathroom pop.
