2. Use Boric Acid
Boric acid has always been considered the best solution for controlling a cockroach infestation. Just sprinkle it on the kitchen floor, around the corners and holes. Better do it at night when these insects come out. After getting in contact with the powder, cockroaches will die instantly. Dry the kitchen counter, floor, cabinets, and other areas which might be wet. If the conditions are not ideal for a cockroach, it will not live or breed in that place.
4. Kill it by Smell
Cockroaches have an excellent sense of smell among insects. You can take advantage of this by placing food in the kitchen whose odor repels a cockroach. Usually, cockroaches don’t like anything smelling of thyme, citrus, basil, mint, and citronella. This is one of the easiest and healthiest ways to get rid of cockroaches from your kitchen.
5. Set up a Bait

The cockroach gets in contact with it but doesn’t die instantly;instead, it goes back to its colony, where it infects other cockroaches. So, in the next 2-3 days, all the cockroaches in that particular area die.

This is one of the simplest methods that does not require anything special, just the items in your kitchen. Mix baking soda and sugar and sprinkle the powder in the affected areas. The sugar attracts the cockroaches while the baking soda kills them.
